German Xtra Blue - Agoura (Bogner Ecstasy 101B - EL34 Blue Channel)
Released With Helix Stadium 1.0
The Bogner Ecstasy 101B is a versatile, high-gain amp head that has become iconic for its dynamic range and tonal flexibility, suitable for anything from pristine cleans to rich, saturated distortion. The three-channel design—Clean, Blue, and Red—lets players access a broad spectrum of tones, from sparkling clarity to aggressive, harmonically complex gain. The amp features an array of voicing options and tone-sculpting switches, including a boost, plexi mode, and structure switch, allowing users to tailor each channel to their specific preferences. It runs on four EL34 power tubes, with six 12AX7 tubes in the preamp section, creating a powerful, articulate sound that responds well to pick attack and volume adjustments. This amp is celebrated for its adaptability in the studio and on stage, especially among players looking for boutique, hand-wired quality with modern functionality.
This model is for the Amp's Blue channel, which is favored for its overdriven and moderately high-gain tones, making it ideal for rock, blues, and classic lead sounds. This channel is known for its rich, complex harmonic character and touch sensitivity, sitting between the Clean and Red channels in terms of gain. It captures a classic “crunch” and can be dialed in for a warm, throaty distortion that retains clarity and note definition even at higher gain levels. Many guitarists use the Blue channel for rhythm tones, especially those seeking an organic and responsive feel that shines with dynamic playing.
