Thoughts On The New Helix Stadium

The Helix for the Next 10 Years

As you might expect, I was very excited to see the announcement of Helix Stadium for the 10th anniversary of the original unit. While I'm sure that there will be more news to come, I am confident to say that Fluid Solo will be supporting the Stadium units with information and sound samples for the amps and effects, and also with preset sharing.

Looking at the announced features of the Stadium platform, I see it very much as a leap ahead in terms of sound, capabilities, and expansion potential. Some features such as Bluetooth and Wifi are very welcome as they can help musicians get things done faster and easier with less hassle. The Touchscreen and integrated GPU will come in as a best-in class user interface for making quick tone adjustments, but also creates an almost limitless expansion palette for future capabilities.

I see Helix Stadium as a guitar workstation taking cues from the workflows musicians have been doing on their PCs for years. This is the Helix for the next 10 years, and I'm excited to try it out and continue supporting the platform here on Fluid Solo.
