James Valentine - Maroon 5

Upon learning of the guitar rig for James Valentine of Maroon 5, I've put together this little patch. You can learn more about Valentine's rig at the Youtube link, but the core of his sound is:Tele style guitar + stereo clean ampsFor his live rig (covered in the video), he runs Suhr and Matchless amps. However, this patch is based on Divided by 13 9/15, as he mentioned most Maroon 5 recordings were done on such an amp. I recommend playing around with the Matchstick amps for an alternate flavor. A wah pedal is in the second block, but if an expression is not available, I recommend the Autofilter set to Low-Pass with sensitivity around 75% (depends on your guitar's output).

Rock Bassman

I created this patch after listening to a cool pop punk, 50's inspired band at a local club. The guitar player had epic tone, using a Les Paul into a Bassman head going into a 2x12 fender cab. I did my best to reproduce his tone, a very simple but hard hitting rock n roll tone.Play the neck pickup and reduce the volume a bit on the guitar, and you're in a nice blues sound as well.
