Sound sample recorded with a Les Paul into the Revv Purple amp model, default amp and cab settings. The reverb was added at the end of the signal chain.

A new hall reverb for the Helix 3.1 release. This is a full and lush rounding reverb.

Rockerverb

New for Helix 3.1, the Rockerveb is a very cool and versatile amp for rock n roll. Try this tone in place of a Marshall for a crunchier, fatter tone.

Heavy Metal (Takin' a Ride) by Don Felder

This patch generates the beginning keyboard sound by using three 3-Note Generators, delay, overdrive and chorus as well as the verse delay using a momentary stomp footswitch. There are a couple ways to start the song. Check out the video at the bottom of this page.Here's how I do it.Start the Organ stomp (wait at least 10 seconds for minimum Attack time). You can change the Attack time of each 3-Note Generator for quicker intro.Have the drummer do a four beat count in. On 4, turn off the Organ (the delay will keep it ringing for another beat)Immediately step on the Verse Delay and on 1 of the next bar play the D->E chords and one chug on the open E chord.Release the Verse Delay (it will trail) and keep chugging.Repeat steps 4-5 for each bar.I put a 1-Switch Looper at the end so you can record the main riff to solo over. If you do use it, I recommend using the Solo Dly for the first D->E so you have time to hit the looper, turn off the Solo Dly (it will trail) then use the Verse Delay for the rest of the rhythm.It uses the same Fulltone OCD and Deluxe Reverb as Felders rig rundown on YouTube. Cool lap steel tone for country western or Hawaiian music. Sorry about the single coil hum in the demo, had trouble getting rid of it completely, even with the Horizon gate engaged.

5150 Crunch Lead Wah

Super fun 5150 patch... not for chugging but is a great hard rock patch. It has 3 snapshots... 1. Rhythm 2. Lead 3. Lead with auto wah. This was made with my PowerCab Plus using a York Audio IR so you will need to keep that in mind. Enjoy!!!

Jingle Jangle

12 string into a chime amp = awesome. The Soundcloud demo below was made with Logic drums, and I used my "Guitar Goes Bass" preset available here on fluid solo to create the bass guitar sound. No bass guitar needed. Listen for the organ-like fadeout, very cool.

Amp Switcher with Effects

This patch allows you to send a channel switch command to your amp via the HX Effect's built in capabilities for channel switching, while at the same time toggling effects on and off with the 2 snapshots. On my personal setting, the "soft" snapshot is still dirty by using the Klon model, but the "hard" snapshot is using my amp's gain.There is no 4 cable method used here, it's just the HX Effects switching my amp channels for me, and toggling some effects.NOTE: to use this patch, you will need to set the Pedal 2 Jack setting to "Amp2" in the device settings of the HX effects.
