The Helix for the Next 10 Years
Dimed Tweed Les Paul
From Joost Assink: I had set myself the goal to master all the parts in the epic final solo of Hotel California in my downtime during this crisis. I found out there are 11 parts!! (6 electric guitars, 2 acoustic guitars, 1 bass part, the organ part and of course programming drums). Well, it took a little longer than expected. I recorded all electric guitars and the bass using line 6 helix into an Apollo X8. I recorded the acoustic guitars with a stereo set of Neumann KM184s and I mixed everything in the new Universal Audio Luna DAW. I used a custom patch based on the tweed amp with a custom IR for all the electric guitars and I use the standard Cali 1 bass preset for the bass guitar. For the solos, I enabled a tube screamer, and for the telecaster parts, I added the script mod phaser pedal. For the reggae rhythm, I enabled the Wah pedal in a fixed position and for the supporting electric guitar lines, I added a little bit of chorus. Fullerton Nrm
This is the default patch for the Fullerton Nrm model from the stock presets of the Helix 2.8 update. This may be useful to you if you didn't overwrite the presets on your device. You must be running 2.8 Firmware, or the 1.8 firmware on Helix Native.

5150 Crunch Lead Wah
Super fun 5150 patch... not for chugging but is a great hard rock patch. It has 3 snapshots... 1. Rhythm 2. Lead 3. Lead with auto wah. This was made with my PowerCab Plus using a York Audio IR so you will need to keep that in mind. Enjoy!!!

This utility patch is intended to reduce the hum and hiss of your noisy high gain amp. It is composed of 2 noise gates, one for your guitar and another for the amp's FX loop. The patch needs to run in the "4 Cable Method" to work properly. I use this patch to tame the hiss on my Mesa Boogie Mini Rectifier. It's a great amp but has a bit of hiss due to the high gain nature of the amp. By putting a noise gate in your amp's effects loop, you are mostly getting rid of any annoying hiss or hum that is in the amp's preamp section.

This is a lightly edited mod of johnnyrauker's patch on CustomTone, found while looking for good uses of the Alpaca Rouge overdrive. Terrific sounding patch, nails the tones of Tom Petty and Mike Campbell. Experiment with different guitars for alternate tones.
